Sunday night

It was a good weekend. Busy, sunny and fun. Here are my top 3 (okay, maybe a few more than three) moments from the past few days.

1. Dylan made us crêpes for breakfast this morning. They were delicious, and it made me think how proud Em would be.

2. A walk in the morning sunshine.

3. Playing frisbee in the street with the boys.

4. Digging in the garden, and watering in all the new plants.

5. Lemon sorbet. Yum.

6. Finishing a good book.

7. The four of us playing Risk after dinner tonight.

8. Sawyer's rosy cheeks.

9.  Lilacs in our garden. So. Many. Lilacs.

Happy Monday, mes amies.

2. The sweetest goodnight kiss.

3. A bedtime bubble bath that smells heavenly (because heaven smells like a green bubbleroon, I'm sure of it!)

Lush, green thumb, family stroll

My Sunday evening 3BT:

1. My mom and I went on a bit of a shopping spree at Lush yesterday. I can't wait for a soak in the tub with my Brightside bubble bar tonight... It smells of orange blossoms! Bliss.

2. I planted a brand new bed of flowers in the side yard this afternoon. Felt good to get my hands dirty, and it was satisfying to see the results of my work. I'm going to sit on the deck this summer and admire those gorgeous blooms.

3. The four of us went for a walk tonight before bedtime (the boys'). We walked and talked and I'm really glad we did.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

PS: Almost forgot... Outlander is on tonight! That's #4 for sure :)

An end of week 3BT

Three beautiful things on a rainy Friday night:

1. Bright yellow blooms at the driveway's edge.

2. Finding a nice, long letter in the mailbox after a long day at school.

3. Happy Hippy shower gel + Whoosh bath jelly = a fantastic bubble bath.

Happy weekend, lovelies. The last one in April already, can you believe it?

Saturday morning daydream

Oh, to be in NYC on this early December morning... I'm certain I could spend the entire day Christmas shopping and adore every single second.

Summer days

It feels like it's been summer forever. I've been off work since June 13th {when the BC Teachers' Federation announced a full-scale strike}, and the weather has been pretty much amazing ever since. While I am definitely stressed about the current labour dispute {and am keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that we'll all be back to school as usual come September}, I've been making the most of the lovely, long and sunny days. There have been many beach outings, picnics, pool parties, sandcastles, outdoor breakfasts on the deck before the day gets too hot, and many, many books read {I'll do a separate post on that soon}... We did our annual roadtrip to Sorrento where we basked in the sun for a week, a daytrip up-island to Rathtrevor {sandy beach as far as the eye can see} and we've been riding our bikes to the lake down the road from our house just about every day. Oh, and we got a new kitten! Her name is Plum and she's the sweetest little thing ever. Even Bob is starting to like her {okay, maybe tolerate is a better word}. The days are full around here.

What have you been up to this summer?

The family that cycles together...

... gets fit, firm thighs together? ;~)

I impressed myself yesterday by riding with my three boys to and from my parents' house. If this strike ever bloody ends and I get to go back to work, maybe I'll ride to and from school, too.

Thursday 3BT

Three good things about today, and then I'm off to bed...

1. A letter and a phone call from Kelly in the same day {I love when we get to make plans!}

2. A friend buying Starbucks drinks for every one of us on the picket line this afternoon. So sweet.

3. The beautiful blooms in our garden. Here are a few for you to look at!

It's not all bad

Things have been pretty stressful around here lately. I've been letting my anxiety get the better of me, and it can be so difficult to shake the negative mindset once I've immersed myself in it. But seriously, what is the point? Being angry and sad and worried isn't going to get me anywhere I want to be. Screw that! So, here I am with 3BT {three beautiful things} to end this day on a positive note, and maybe drift off to sleep a bit faster, too.

1. Those boys of mine. How adorable are they?
2. The weather is magnificent. So much sun. My freckles, and our garden, are loving it.
3. A stack of good books on my nightstand {I actually have time to read them now that we're on strike}. Just finished The First Phone Call from Heaven by Mitch Albom, am half-way through One Hundred Names by Cecelia Ahern, and next up is The Fault in Our Stars. Anything else you'd recommend?

I've missed you guys.

PS: One more thing... Sawyer's birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks. And you know how we Pughs love a party!
